According
to
the
spokesperson,
the
departures
of
both
Schneider
and
Wolfs
were
agreed
upon
in
the
merger
agreement
set
out
between
the
two
companies
in

September
2025. 

Compass
initially
indicated
a
summer
or
fall
2026
closing
for
its
acquisition,
but
after
the
proposed
merger
cleared
its
antitrust
review
in
early
January,
a
shareholder
vote
paved
the
way
for
the
transaction
to
close
months
earlier
than
expected. 

During
Anywhere’s

Q3
2025
earnings
call
in
November,
held
after
the
acquisition
was
announced,
Schneider
told
analysts
and
investors
on
the
call
that
“the
proposed
merger
with
Compass
advances
that
journey
by
bringing
together
two
of
the
most
innovative
and
respected
organizations
in
real
estate.”

“We
expect
to

where

and

can
thrive

delivering
even
greater
value
to
homebuyers
and
sellers
across
every

the
transaction,”
Schneider
said.
