Compass acquires Denver-based PorchLight Real Estate Group
Compass
has
acquired
yet
another
brokerage.
On
Wednesday,
the
Robert
Reffkin-helmed
firm
announced
its
acquisition
of
Colorado-based
PorchLight
Real
Estate
Group.
The
financial
terms
of
the
deal
were
not
disclosed.

Reffkin
said
in
a
statement.
“I
am

that,
together,
we
will
be
able
to

each
other
and
better
serve
Coloradans.”
Founded
in
2005
by
Amy
Bayer
and
Carol
Bayer,
PorchLight
serves
clients
in
the
Denver
and
Boulder
metro
areas.

According
to
the
release,
PorchLight
and
its
agents
will
operate
under
the
Compass
brand
once
the
merger
is
completed.
In
2024,
PorchLight
closed
1,257
transaction
sides
for
a
total
sales
volume
of
$922.3
million,
according
to
RealTrends
data.
This
performance
was
good
enough
for
a
top-350
ranking
nationwide
by
sales
volume
in
the
2025
RealTrends
Verified
Rankings.
In
the
past
year,
Compass
has
made
three
other
notable
acquisitions,
including
those
of
Louisiana-based
Latter
&
Blum,
Tennessee-based
Parks
Real
Estate
and
@properties
Christie’s
International
Real
Estate.
Additionally,
in
March
of
this
year,
Compass
was
rumored
to
be
in
discussion
with
Berkshire
Hathaway
about
a
potential
acquisition.
HomeServices
of
America
has
denied
these
rumors.
