NRMLA announces 2025 western, annual meeting details

than
two
weeks
ahead
of
its
first
in-person
meeting
of
the
year,
the
premiere
trade
association
for
the
reverse
mortgage
industry
has
announced
preliminary
details
for
both
its
upcoming
regional
meeting
and
its
annual
meeting
and
expo
slated
for
later
this
year.
The
National
Reverse
Mortgage
Lenders
Association
(NRMLA)
announced
in
a
member
update
this
week
that
the
2025
edition
of
the
annual
event
will
take
place
in
Minneapolis,
Minn.
from
Oct.
7-9.
Registration
is
not
yet
open.
So
far,
NRMLA
has
announced
only
one
other
in-person
event
for
2025.
The
Western
Regional
Meeting
will
take
place
on
April
29
in
Irvine,
Calif.,
returning
to
the
same
venue
that
held
the
2022
edition
of
that
same
event:
the
Marriott
Irvine
Spectrum.
The
association
also
offered
some
preliminary
details
for
that
event’s
agenda,
saying
it
will
include
a
loan
originator
roundtable
with
professionals
on
the
dais
and
attendee
interaction;
as
well
as
a
dedicated
panel
on
the
topic
of
proprietary
reverse
mortgages
featuring
representatives
from
Longbridge
Financial
and
Smartfi
Home
Loans.
Real
estate
broker
and
podcaster
Bill
Gross
will
also
be
appearing
during
a
panel
conversation
offering
tips
around
the
reverse
mortgage
conversation
with
clients,
the
association
said.
Last
year,
NRMLA
held
its
annual
meeting
and
expo
in
San
Diego,
Calif.
Officials
from
the
U.S.
Department
of
Housing
and
Urban
Development
(HUD)
attended
including
then-Federal
Housing
Administration
(FHA)
Commissioner
Julia
Gordon
and
HUD
Office
of
Housing
Counseling
head
David
Berenbaum.
NRMLA
also
recognized
two
of
its
longtime
leaders
with
distinguished
service
awards,
and
NRMLA
President
Steve
Irwin
told
RMD
ahead
of
that
event
that
it
featured
around
350
registrants
from
134
companies.
HousingWire’s
Reverse

Daily
(RMD)
will
be
in
attendance
at
the
event
in
Irvine
later
this
month.
