Tim Sorenson joins NAF to lead lending, recruiting in the Southwest

announced
on
Monday
that
it
has
named
Tim
Sorenson
as
its
new
divisional
executive
vice
president
for
the
Southwest

an
area
where
the
company
is
hoping
to
grow
its
retail
lending
presence.

Sorenson,
who
has
more
than
two
decades
of
mortgage
lending
experience,
will
be
responsible
for
guiding

loan
officers

across
a
broad
geographic
area
encompassing
Arizona,
Colorado,
Hawaii,
Kansas,
Nevada,
Oklahoma,
Utah,
Wyoming
and
Southern
California.

Sorenson
will
also
focus
on
implementing
recruiting
initiatives.
He’ll
report
directly
to

Tony
Blodgett
,
NAF’s
executive
vice
president
of
national
sales
for
the
West,
a
press
release
from

NAF

confirmed.

Sorenson
most
recently
served
as
divisional
executive
vice
president
for


Rate
,
where
he
led
retail
operations
across
Alaska,
California,
Hawaii,
Nevada,
Oregon,
Utah
and
Washington.

Before
his
eight-year
tenure
at
Rate,
Sorenson
was
the
director
of
residential
lending
at

Lutheran
Burbank
Savings
.
He
holds
a
bachelor’s
degree
in
political
science
from
California
State
University
at
Fullerton.

Monday’s
news
builds
on
NAF’s
recent
efforts
to
grow
a
strong
retail
presence
and
to
spur
housing
market
activity.

In
July,
the
company
promoted
Blodgett
to
lead
retail
business
for
the
western
U.S.
and
Andy
Pettola
to
lead
retail
for
the
eastern
U.S.
Later
in
the
month,
NAF
announced
a

multimillion-dollar
marketing
campaign

designed
to
“energize
and
empower”
the
next
generation
of first-time
homebuyers
.
